August 9, 1990
Mr. Lance Winslow, President
Thank you for coming out to our home to discuss plans for a Car Wash-a-thon for the Newbury Park High School Panther Band and Pageantry and the Sequoia Intermediate School Band.
Date for the car wash has been set for Saturday, September 15, tentatively at the Sequoia Intermediate School's parking lot. As you originally suggested, we may end up holding it at the Borchard & Michael Mobil Station. Will decide next Tuesday.
We would like you to give a motivational talk to our high school band and pageantry members on Monday, August 20, 1990, 3pm in the band room of Newbury Park High School, 456 Reino Road. Mr. Zeller has set aside enough time for us to give a good pitch to 54 students.
The Sequoia Band Booster President, Leonard and Pam Hale, have asked us to include them in our plans. Accordingly, they would like you to talk to their band members on Friday, 8:30 am and 9:05am (there are tow classes), September 7, 1990, in the Sequoia Intermediate School's band room. Borchard Road between Lupe and Theresa Streets. You'll be talking to about 50 students between the two classes.
Your generous offer of not charging for the services made a big hit with our Sequoia folks, and we are positive that we will have the same response next Tuesday from our high school boosters.
We are sure you have given some thought to our Wednesday evening discussion. We would welcome another chance to chat with you before we finalize some of our written materials and suggest you give us a call for another meeting before we kick-off the program. Please call me at your earliest convenience at 498-7679.
Should your schedule permit, we are holding a board meeting on Tuesday, August 14, 7:30 pm. Our meetings are usually short and to the point. If you can come, please call and let us know, and we will make room for you in our agenda. We meet in the Newbury High School Band Room.
Thanks for caring,
Henry L. Lacayo, President
