Another letter of support, this one from the local Chamber of Commerce (plus some Chamber chatter).  You just can't keep a good idea down.

Dear City Council Members:

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the Chamber's support of fundraising activities which utilize the services of the Car Wash Guys.   These business men use very little water, and no soap to pollute the drains.   The amount of water left on the ground after the car is washed is minimal and evaporates in a very short time.  We feel that it is "reaching" to say that rinsing these cars off produces hydrocarbons which pollute the water system.

We urge you to support the Newbury Park High School Band Boosters' position on this car wash matter, not only in the interest of fair play, but because our school system, is as you know, in need of funds and we believe car washes to be an effective, capitalistic, American way to raise them.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely

Glenn Morris
Chairman of the Board
