Welcome to the Car Wash Guys

Here is a young kid washing a Fed Ex van in Atlanta.  Notice all the soap used by his inline injection system.  I see over 25 gallons used.  If you'll look closely he is using a 24 inch wand and is about 4" away from the van.  He is using a 45° spray tip at about 2300 PSI.  Machines are not made for 2300 PSI, therefore his 3000 PSI machine must be poorly maintained and either, it is  sucking air into the line prior to the pump, his inline injection is malfunctioning, the gun is broken at the end of the hose, or the "O" rings are worn in the Quick Disconnect fitting.

Notice how close he is from the building, maybe this explains why he is blasting the Vehicle at such close range.  Although I think it is because he could care less about blasting off decals, & because he doesn't feel up to hand soaping the back and side of the vehicle.   Please notice the Service Company's strict adherence to dress code ("The white untucked  T-Shirt with accompanying gang banger butt sagging baggy pants.").   You have to ask yourself what service company would allow their reps to wear this attire while on the job.  The answer is here, it is FLEETWASH.

FLEETWASH  with over 300 GMC and Chevy trucks in over 29 states, or so they claim on their website fleetwash.com notice the 200 feet of 3/4 heavy duty hose which they use to conveniently hook up to a customers spicket.  Wow, what service two guys from the hood come out to wash your fleet in a dented van which is dirtier than your own fleet before they even start.  Off to the far left is a guy attempting to suck up the water from the job to satisfy Atlanta's storm discharge requirements.  This guy is dressed in the more formal company approved attire which is gray sweat pants, plaid shirt and sandals without socks.  They claim to have this Fed Ex account secured under contract until the year 2003.  If I were the station manage I wouldn't want these guys within 5 miles of my location during corporate inspections.  If the regional manager met with us, they would fire these people before we left their office.  This is our strongest competitor.
